There are 2 ways to go for current meters
1.. parallel path "old hat"
2 ..measureing voltage drop across a shunt.. usually shunts are for 200mv drop at fullload, gud if using digi mv meter but just use a 100ua meter movement es put a series trimpot say 100 ohms in line with mv meter.. now just hook ur clamp meter to the load es adjust for reading as on clamp meter.. a clue for ur clamp meter if lower amps are needed just put two or more turns through ur clamp meter es / the turns ,,es one turn = once through the clamp meter..
