: The Sun is still quiet. A new active region appeared in the Eastern hemisphere (Catania sunspot group 41, no NOAA number yet). The Earth is currently inside the fast flow from a coronal hole. Isolated intervals of active geomagnetic conditions (K = 4) are thus possible.
