The geomagnetic storm caused by the recurrent hole is now intensifying.
The z-component of the IMF has been Southward at -15nT for more than 6
hours. The NOAA estimated Kp index is at Kp=6 (major storm). We expect
these conditions to persist for at least 12hours. Sky watchers in
northern US and Canada have a chance for auroras.
