THREE people were killed in the Indonesian capital when strong winds during a monsoon storm knocked over a television relay tower under construction, police said today. The steel tower smashed into eight houses in a residential district in West Jakarta late yesterday, three people in the homes were killed and at least 14 were injured.
The tower, which was being built by a private television station, was planned to have a height of 300m (984 feet) but only about 120m (393 feet) had been completed.
