On Monday late afternoon it was overcast es muggy wx , so I through a gud time to check the condition of my 90 foot top loaded vertical..
So out into the paddack with tool bag, I disconect the matching transformer from the base of the vertical, es back to the shack to check it out..
After checking solder joints es fittings ,back to the paddock to replace the matching section..
I placed my hand on to the vertical which is 3 inch dia alloy tubing es "WELL" i am setting on my arse 6 ft away..
YEP a build up of stattic electricity
Antenna is 90 foot tall es 3 inch dia alloy tubing with 4 top load wires 34ft 6 inches long, es setting on a ground matt of 60 x 132ft ground wires
So "be ware" of antenna's when working on them hi..
