WELCOME TO THE RADIO EXPEDITION LIBERIA 2007 SITE

NOT just another DX-pedition !

Scheduled: October 3rd - 24th 2007

After fourteen years of civil war, lasting from 1989 to 2003, the country of Liberia has been devastated and its infrastructure was ruined. The Mercy Ships organization (see another page of this website) offers free specialized surgeries, developmental assistance, and educational programs for the poor in Liberia. In cooperation with Mercy Ships the DAGOE Foundation deploys this Radio DX-pedition. The DX-pedition has adopted a charity project that will be supported by your donations (project to be announced in August). With your generous help we are able to give the people of Liberia hope for the future.

Goals of the Radio DX-pedition:

Activate the DXCC-entity Liberia on short-wave radio
Raise funds for the charity project in Liberia in cooperation with Mercy Ships
Supporting the Liberia Radio Amateur Association (LRAA) with equipment
