EOI 06/ACMA158 - Expression of Interest for the Provision of Certain Statutory Functions and Administrative Services associated with Amateur Radiocommunications Licensing
ACMA seeks Expressions of Interest for the provision of certain statutory functions and administrative services associated with Amateur radiocommunications licensing, in particular:
conducting examinations to assess Amateur proficiency;
issuing Amateur Certificates of Proficiency;
making recommendations to ACMA about the allocation of callsigns to Amateur licensees; and
associated and supporting administrative functions.
ACMA wishes to establish the availability and characteristics of organisations that might satisfy these requirements.

This maybe a bad thing to happen, as for a commerical org. to take this
'job" on, it would be for a profit es then we would see fee's es charges rise NO PRIVATE ORG will do this service at cost
"no one knows ham radio better than ham's"
it becomes USER PAY'S .. did power,water,gas/fuel costs go down with PRIVATION??
