Posted - 20 Mar 2006 : 06:35:47 AM A moderate to major geomagnetic storm (Kp=5-6) is in progress since yesterday March 18, around 20:00UT. It was caused by a new rise of the , with simultaneous wide Southward excursions of the Bz component of the IMF. All ground-based magnetographs currently show a decrease of the geomagnetic activity.
